Anna Tansi, President of Counterbalance Consulting specializes in facilitating strategic planning, building leadership capability, and improving organizational effectiveness throughout systems. For over 25 years Anna has coached and consulted with senior executives and leadership teams in a wide range of industries including financial services, technology, health care, pharmaceutical, not-for-profit, and manufacturing.

Her talent lies in the ability to help leaders create clear and compelling visions and strategic business plans, with a strong culture of accountability and execution. She aligns the leadership team and the workforce with the business direction to achieve sustainable business results.

From Anna’s perspective, true team effectiveness is only achieved and sustained when actual business priorities are the focus of her work with a group. She is valued by executive leaders, managers and employees for the constructive and instructive ways she addresses difficult issues and challenging team dynamics. Anna’s goals for every client engagement are to facilitate the resolution of current business challenges, revitalize the culture, and leave the team better equipped to drive and support their strategy.


  • Prior to starting her own business, Anna served as VP of Human Resources and Executive Leadership Program Manager at Aetna, as well as Director of Leadership and Organization Development at Cigna.
